At OptiScan, our philosophy is simple: Your body, your data, your device. We have engineered this app to ensure that your personal health journey remains exactly where it belongs—in your hands.
The "Local First" Commitment
OptiScan is designed as a localized tracking utility.
Data Residency: Every entry you make—dates, symptoms, moods, or physical notes—is stored locally on your device.
Zero Cloud Harvesting: We do not operate central servers to store your health records. We cannot read, see, or retrieve your data because we never touch it.
No Account Required: You don’t need to sign up, log in, or hand over your email address to use OptiScan.
Technical Telemetry and Third-Party Platforms
While your health data never leaves your device, we use specific third-party services to keep the app running smoothly and to help us grow. These partners only interact with technical "signals," not your personal entries.
Firebase (Google): We use this for crash reporting. If the app hits a snag, Firebase tells us the technical details (like your phone model and the error code) so we can fix it.
Analytics & Attribution (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These tools help us understand where our users come from (marketing attribution). They process pseudonymized technical IDs, such as your Advertising ID.
The Firewall: These partners are contractually restricted from accessing your health logs. They "see" the app being used, but they never see what you are recording.

Right to Erasure (Deletion): Deleting OptiScan from your device immediately and permanently wipes your health history from the hardware.
Right to Complain: You have the right to contact a regulatory authority in your jurisdiction if you feel our data practices aren't up to par.
Opting Out of Sharing and Sales
You are the boss of your digital footprint:
System Settings: You can stop the sharing of technical identifiers by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) in your phone's privacy settings.

Retention Standards

II. END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Grant of License
OptiScan grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the software on your device for personal health tracking, provided you follow these terms.
MEDICAL DISCLAIMER (THE IMPORTANT BIT)
OptiScan is NOT a medical device. Our predictions and insights are based on statistical averages and your inputs. They are for educational purposes only. Do not use this app for contraception, to achieve pregnancy, or as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always talk to a doctor about your health.
Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the app's algorithms.
Use the app for any illegal purposes.
Sell or redistribute the software.
Intellectual Property
The OptiScan name, branding, and proprietary algorithms belong to us. This license lets you use the app; it doesn't mean you own the code.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, OptiScan and its creators are not liable for any damages (health-related, data loss, or otherwise) resulting from your use of the app. It is provided "AS IS."
